PayPal Instant Transfer Fee Calculator
Calculate withdrawal fee
Amount examples
Examples update using the current country, currency and withdrawal method.
| PayPal balance | Withdrawal fee | Net to bank/card | Effective rate |
|---|
Formula used
For percentage-based instant transfer methods, the calculator uses:
fee = min(max(balance × percentage, minimum fee), maximum fee)
net to bank/card = PayPal balance − withdrawal fee
Manual mode uses the same net formula, but the percentage, fixed fee, minimum and maximum fee are entered by the user. Automatic US/CA methods in this build are based on PayPal consumer/personal withdrawal fee pages; business account withdrawals may have different rules.
Country and method policy
Automatic instant-transfer methods are shown only when the PayPal source clearly lists that country and method. Currencies stay locked because caps and limits are currency-specific. If a method is not supported, the page keeps manual fee input visible instead of borrowing another country’s tariff.

Official PayPal sources used
Automatic withdrawal methods are limited to country/method combinations with clear consumer withdrawal fee data. Unsupported countries stay in manual fee mode rather than borrowing another market's rule.
| Country | Source | Automatic scope in this build |
|---|---|---|
| United States | PayPal US consumer fees | Standard bank, standard eligible debit card, instant bank and instant eligible debit card where the method is available to the account. |
| Canada | PayPal Canada consumer fees | Local bank withdrawal and instant eligible debit card where the method is available to the account. |
Business-account withdrawal pricing, currency conversion, card/bank eligibility, and account-specific limits may differ from the consumer fee pages used here.
FAQ
Is this a PayPal receiving fee calculator?
No. This page starts after the money is already in your PayPal balance. To calculate seller receiving fees, use the PayPal Fee Calculator or the Invoice Fee & Profit Calculator.
Why does manual mode appear for many countries?
Withdrawal products vary by country, account, bank/card eligibility and checkout disclosure. When a verified automatic instant/card method is not embedded for a country, manual fee input is safer than copying a rate from another country.
Why is the currency locked for automatic methods?
Automatic withdrawal methods use currency-specific minimum fees, maximum fees and transfer limits. For example, a US method uses USD caps, while a Canada method uses CAD caps. Manual mode stays editable.
Are the automatic US/CA rates for business accounts?
No. The automatic US and Canada withdrawal methods in this build are based on PayPal consumer/personal fee pages. Business account withdrawals can have different rules, so business users should check the fee shown in PayPal or use manual mode.
Does this include currency conversion?
No. If PayPal converts currency during withdrawal, compare the disclosed PayPal rate with the PayPal Exchange Rate Calculator.
Why is standard withdrawal often different from instant transfer?
Standard withdrawal may be free when no currency conversion is involved, but it can take longer. Instant transfer is faster where available and normally has a separate fee or cap.
