If PayPal publishes a local donation row, this page uses it. If donations are handled under commercial transaction rules or there is no separate donation tariff, the page uses the business receiving rate and labels the result as an estimate. Discounted charity/nonprofit mode appears only where PayPal publishes a supported rate.

Does PayPal charge a fee on donations?

Often yes for donations received by an organization, but the rate depends on country, product, account status and whether the organization has an approved charity/nonprofit rate. Some fundraiser products may have different pricing, including no-fee cases in certain local tables.

What is the difference between standard donation and approved charity?

Standard donation uses the local donation row where PayPal publishes one, or a clearly labeled commercial-rate estimate. Approved charity/nonprofit mode uses a discounted charity rate only where PayPal publishes one and the organization is eligible.

Does this include PayPal Giving Fund?

No automatic PayPal Giving Fund payout model is included. PayPal Giving Fund, PayPal Fundraisers and partner platform donations can have separate fee or payout rules, including no-fee and partner-fee cases in some markets.

Can I use this for international donations?

Yes, as an estimate. Select the donor country and organization country, or force international mode. Some countries use complex regional add-on groups, so the result should be checked against the PayPal fee shown for the actual transaction.
